Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Let us help you find out what your case is worth.

What are the types of injuries covered by compensation?

  • You may be entitled to compensation for a physical injury, psychological injury or an injury as a result of the negligence or wrong doing of another person, company, government agency, or other entity.
  • Physical injuries may include head and neck injuries, back injuries, burns, industrial diseases, loss of limbs, fingers or toes, loss of hearing or loss of sight.
  • Psychological injuries may include depression and anxiety as a result of your injury.

How long does the compensation process take?

  • The claims process does take time, however, once your specialist lawyer has assessed your claim, generally, most claims are settled within 12-18 months.

What costs are involved?

  • Firstly, AICS is a FREE service.
  • Secondly, our team of Lawyers will not charge if they do not win – NO WIN – NO FEE. You will not be charged for up front or on-going costs if AICS and our team of lawyers do not win your case.
  • Once your case has been accepted, all fees will be clearly explained to you before you proceed.

How do I know if I qualify for a compensation claim?

  • You may be eligible if you have suffered an injury – physical or psychological – which was caused by someone who should have been taking reasonable steps to prevent the risk of your injury and care for your safety but failed to do so – for example your employer or another driver, slips and trips in a public place. Even if no fault occurred by anyone you may still have a claim.
